E. Benjamin Money Jr., President and CEO of the N.C. Community Health Center Association, has been named as the 2015 Geiger Gibson Distinguished Visitor. The Geiger Gibson Distinguished Visitor Program honors individuals whose lifetime careers in community health, and achievements on behalf of health centers and medically underserved communities, serve as an inspiration in public health policy and practice. Money is the first from North Carolina and the first African American to receive this honor. As part of this honor, Ben made a presentation earlier this month on the state of North Carolina’s Medicaid reform legislation and health centers’ efforts to address the coverage gap. Congratulations, Ben!
