The N.C. Community Health Center Association is urging friends and supporters to speak out on the “health center funding cliff.” On September 30, 2017, 70% of Community Health Center funding expired and has yet to be renewed. That means health centers are utilizing the remainder of their current grants to serve the uninsured without any commitment that ongoing funding will be available. The NCCHCA recommends supporters call their US Representatives and Senators Richard Burr and Thom Tillis and ask them to “immediately renew mandatory Community Health Center funding.”
