Chapel Hill (May 11, 2018) – Burlington-area residents are invited to bring their entire families to enjoy a day of fun and activities at KidFest 2018 on Saturday, May 19, 2018. The event is at the Burlington Community Heath Center at 1214 Vaughn Road and runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

KidsFest is free and open to the public and will have free hot dogs, snow cones and other food as well as free children’s books. It will also feature:

  • Face painting, storybook reading and opportunities to take photos with Smokey the Bear.
  • Performances by the Andrews/Broadview Unicycle Club at 10:45 a.m., and the Elon Steppers at 11:30 a.m.
  • A water balloon battle at 12:30 p.m.
  • Many giveaways, including tickets to Burlington Royal baseball, swim passes and all-day amusement passes, oil changes, Gold’s Gym membership and training sessions and restaurant gift certificates.

KidsFest is sponsored by Piedmont Health Services, and Kidfest attendees will have the opportunity to meet and greet health-care providers and tour the Burlington Community Health Center. The event is a day for the community and aims to build a stronger comnunity, so all area residents are welcome and encouraged to attend and support that goal.
