This program is called Give Kids A Smile, which is part of National Children’s Dental Access Day. Every year, about 10,000 dentists and 30,000 other dental professionals give free dental cleanings and checkups to kids whose caregivers may otherwise not be able to afford dental care.

In 2003, American Dental Association began the Give Kids A Smile program. More than 5 million underserved children received free dental services at various Give Kids A Smile events during the past 14 years.
