Dottie and Bob Roach, homemaker and retired autoworker, are from the Philadelphia/New Jersey area. They have lived in Siler City since 1999.
For the past seven years they have been patients of Dr. John Torontow at Siler City Community Health Center. “We are retired seniors living on a fixed income. We both find the Center to be very convenient and affordable,” states Bob.
Asked what she likes about the Center, Dottie remarks, “When I was sick and needed help, I was helped right away and everything was explained to me. The staff there is so warm and understanding. The pharmacy employees are also very helpful and personable. Once, the Center Manager took the time to make sure an insurance question was resolved quickly. That meant a lot.”
Dottie and Bob’s son, daughter and grandson are also patients at Siler City Community Health Center. Dottie’s mother was a patient at the Center as well.
Dottie remembers and appreciates how the staff treated her mother. “They talked to her, they didn’t talk over her like some medical offices do. They took time with her, and she was made to feel special when she came in for her appointments.”
“I would recommend the Siler City Community Health Center to anyone needing a quality medical home. It’s sort of a ‘one-stop shop’ with your doctor, dentist and pharmacy all under one roof,” says Dottie.
