Carrboro Community Health Center’s Dental Department better than ever.

The dental department at the Carrboro Community Health Center is back after a temporary relocation due to renovations – that’s the news from Piedmont Health Services. The department reopened – bigger and better than ever – earlier this month.

For those who were unaware of this (or for new patients), we want you to know that you can now make an appointment for treatment in this nice, new space.

We apologize for any inconvenience while the work was being done, but I can assure you that the wait was worth it. Piedmont Health Services moved its administrative offices out of the building (that office is now located at 127 Kingston Drive in Chapel Hill), allowing us to greatly expand the space for health care at the Carrboro Community Health Center. The administrative office used to occupy half the building; now the entire building is dedicated to direct provision of health care.

As Dental Director for Piedmont Health Services, I want tell you about the changes in dental services at the health center:

  • We have doubled the number of dental chairs (suites), from three to six. This will allow us to double the number of patients we see in a given day and will allow us to schedule follow-up care more quickly.
  • We have cutting edge new equipment that allows us to better serve patients, such as the Nomad, a hand-held, wireless. Digital X-ray machine.
  • Our offices are remodeled with brand new chairs, furniture and equipment and they look great!

Perhaps the best part of our renovation is that we have not raised our fees for dental service, and we still accept all forms of insurance as well as Medicaid and self-pay with a sliding fee scale. So even though we’re bigger and better, the cost is the same!

The Carrboro Community Health Center is located at 301 Lloyd Street. To schedule a dental appointment, call 919-942-8741.
